Buckingham Palace is the official London residence and administrative headquarters of the reigning Monarch, the Queen of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster in London, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality for foreign dignitaries and Head of States.
Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms which include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. The palace is 108 metres long across the front, 120 metres deep (including the central quadrangle) and 24 metres high.
The palace remains in use for the many official events and receptions held by The Queen, but the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors and tourists every summer.
